
Four of Britain's biggest supermarkets have been forced to withdraw thousands of products after it emerged 700,000 eggs from farms implicated in a contamination scare have been distributed to the UK.Waitrose, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons are all being forced to withdraw sandwichfood fillings and other chilled foods after the Food Standards Agency made the announcement today - and revealed a far higher number of contaminated eggs than the previously estimated 21,000.Today Dutch authorities arrested two men in an investigation into the use of pesticide in poultry farms.
