Student attacks lecturer with a BASEBALL BAT at ANU

A baseball bat-wielding teenager was arrested after he attacked a female lecturer and three brave students who tried to tackle him to the ground at the Australian National University in Canberra, police said.ACT Police said the 18-year-old Caucasian man, who is also a student, stood from his seat and approached the lecturer at the front of the class shortly after 9am on Friday.Students who rushed to the teacher's aid were left with broken bones after he allegedly turned on them too.The student attacked four people - one man and three women, including the teacher - who were taken to hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening.Campus security attended and detained the student, who is not known to police or intelligence agencies, until police arrived at the scene.
